Sally Roesch, LPC-MHSP

After nearly a decade of clinical practice, I've learned that lasting change rarely comes from trying harder.

When it comes to relationship dynamics, I get it. I work especially well with people who find themselves stuck in cycles of breakups, “situationships,” and relationships that feel intense, chaotic, or hard to leave. I want to help you identify the internal rules, relational patterns, and blind spots that unintentionally keep you stuck. You may also find yourself feeling like an outsider - wanting closer relationships but never quite feeling understood, included, or genuinely connected.

In addition to helping people navigate everyday relationship struggles, I also work with more complex personality and relational patterns. I specialize in the kinds of relationship and personality dynamics that are often labeled as “resistant,” difficult to treat, or even avoided by other mental health providers. My work often focuses on narcissistic personality dynamics, whether you’re in a relationship with someone who fits that pattern, have been labeled “a narcissist” yourself, or are trying to make sense of long-standing confusion, self-doubt, and power imbalances. I also see people who struggle less with intense emotions or impulsivity and more with too much self-control. You may be highly capable and successful on the outside, yet feel rigid, over-analytical, or disconnected when it comes to emotions and social connection. If you've built a life around being competent, dependable, and self-sufficient, you may wonder if therapy is just another place to get it right. It isn’t.

I seek to help people better understand and change the ways emotions affect their relationships. Some people struggle because their emotions take over. Others struggle because they've become so good at containing them that connection starts to suffer.

Finding the right therapist matters. If this sounds like you and you think we'd be a good fit, I'd love to meet you.

“Stop worrying that people will find out who you really are. Instead, be someone you don’t want to hide.”

My style is direct, perceptive, and practical. I won’t tiptoe around issues, use vague therapeutic jargon, or just “hold space.” Instead, you’ll get clear feedback, collaborative work, and concrete strategies to strengthen communication, assertiveness, and self-worth so you can figure out what you want and actually change the patterns that have kept it out of reach.
